20 years I have worked with many families who have repeatedly expressed their desire to be able to source learning support from one place; to get advice, to be able to talk to others and share their experiences.
Our mission is to be this place: a hub where parents can book a consultation, secure an Educational Psychology Assessment, and source therapists in a range of connected areas. All from one place, one holistic, connected team with the child at the heart of the plan.
QLST will work with schools to arrange support and training so that children with specific learning needs can be smoothly enrolled. Through the hub parents can purchase individual support packages for their child, provided by QLST and in collaboration with schools.
Activities so far
Over the past three years I have been:
–liaising with learning support specialists in Tokyo and around the world
–meeting parents to hear their experiences and wishes
–listening to Head Teachers and Principals to hear their needs
–designed plans and structures to solve these challenges
–creating a solid financial plan
–negotiating space for the hub
–seeking the right team members to make this project fly.
How we will use the funds
The goal for this not-for-profit company is to be financially self-sustaining. This crowdfunding project is to help us launch and get off the ground. Funds raised will help pay the salaries of our three full time staff at the start, help us set up and enable us to immediately start
