equate education mostly due to poverty.
We have two groups;Stationary Project for collecting stationary and Textbook Project for
making original textbooks.
In addition to the teachers at the school, Mr. Sam, the founder of Bobby Sam’s Foundation, and Mr. Missions, from non-governmental organization, have been cooperating with us on this
project.
Problem and What we do
Many countries are facing the problem of poverty, but our focus is on Ghana.
In Ghana, many children cannot receive education, and don’t have tools to know about the
world. However, it is essential for children to be exposed to a variety of things and to expand
their own possibilities.
The school we will be supporting is located in the region of Adamorobe, Adamorobe Anglican
School. There are about 1000 students in this school. This school is where hundreds of
students attend, which helps to put a stop to illiteracy in the community. However, the lack of
supplies is a big problem that the community and the school have to deal with.
Given the reality in Adamorobe, what we can do is to support educational supplies. Specifically, we came up with the idea of creating and donating “original textbooks”. Those textbooks are
completely different from others, since they are more like Pamphlets about the World. It is
“a textbook that expands the world” written in easy English with lots of pictures and
information (about climate, map, sports, culture, etc.)
It has contents related to Japanese culture as well!
